Ames Return Policy

  • All returns must be made within 30 days of purchase accompanied by a receipt or statement.
  • No cash refunds of items purchased by check will be given until 14 days from date of purchase.
  • For cash refunds in excess of $100 a check will be mailed to the customer from the Ames corporate office.
  • Credit card purchases will be refunded only to the original credit card used for purchase.
  • Defective merchandise may be exchanged for same within 30 days of purchase.
  • If the original item is not in stock, the customer may receive credit in the amount of the original item.
  • No refunds or exchanges will be given on Joint Compound products, Fasteners, Corner Bead, Stilts or Spray Rig equipment.
  • Refunds of down payments on items purchased via MPP or MPP+ programs will be issued from Ames corporate office by check.

Merchandise returns, other than defective product, must be received in new and saleable condition.
